Design rooted in intention

Kolasta was founded on one uncompromising belief: that the details are everything. The way light falls across a room. The weight of a fabric. The precise distance between a sofa and a coffee table. We notice what others overlook — and we obsess over getting it right.

With 15 years in the Northern Virginia and DC market, our process begins with listening deeply to your vision — then translating every nuance of it into a space that feels unmistakably you. Whether you're preparing to sell or simply ready to love where you live, we bring the same meticulous care to every project.

Questions we often hear

Don't see your question? Reach out and we'll be happy to help.

How much does home staging cost? +
Staging investment varies based on the size of the home, number of rooms, and whether it's occupied or vacant. Most projects range from $1,500 to $5,000. We provide a detailed proposal after the initial consultation so there are no surprises.
Do you provide furniture, or do I use my own? +
Both options are available. For occupied homes, we work with your existing furnishings and supplement with rental pieces as needed. For vacant homes, we source and install a full furniture package tailored to the property.
How far in advance should I book? +
We recommend reaching out at least 2–3 weeks before your target listing date. During busy spring and fall markets, booking 4–6 weeks ahead ensures we can accommodate your timeline.
What areas do you serve? +
We primarily serve Northern Virginia and the greater Washington DC metro area, including Fairfax, Loudoun, and Arlington counties, as well as parts of Maryland. Contact us if you're outside this area — we're happy to discuss options.
Does staging really make a difference in sale price? +
Research consistently shows that staged homes sell faster and for more money. Our clients typically see offers within the first two weeks on market, and many receive multiple offers above asking price. First impressions — both online and in person — are everything.
"

Kolasta staged our home and we had three offers above asking price within the first week. The transformation was extraordinary — I almost didn't want to sell.
